Research & PhD Call

The deadline for the final submission of applications is 20 March 2025.

The funding initiative aimed at promoting innovation and collaboration in research and PhD studies across several key focus areas, including Artificial Intelligence, Sustainable Cities and Water, Industry 4.0, Engineering Biology, Energy, Space, Entrepreneurship, and Cybersecurity. Researchers and research units from at least three member universities are invited to submit proposals for collaborative projects. The funding is open to any subject or topic related to these focus areas, encouraging interdisciplinary efforts and advancing research in these critical fields.

The funding period for this call is October 2025 – December 2026.

The Unite! Seed Fund offers in this annual call 2025 for Teaching and Learning proposals a total of 230,000 euros. The maximum budget for each proposal under the "Exploring" programme option is up to €10,000.

For proposals under the "Developing" programme option, the maximum budget varies based on the number of participating universities:
- for 3 universities, up to €20,000
- for 4 universities, up to €27,500
- for 5 universities, up to €35,000
- for 6 universities, up to €44,000
- for 7 universities, up to €54,000
- for 8 universities, up to €65,000
- for 9 universities, up to €80,000.
